prophetic voices

Prophetic Voices who are highlighted by the Awakening Project are individuals whom we have seen engaging in social justice activism through a contemplative lens. They are the people who have actively worked towards a particular (or multiple) social justice issue resolutions or awareness and have raised their voices to advocate for the needs of the marginalized and vulnerable members of a society. Prophetic Voices demonstrate that injustice and social issues require deep listening, meaningful action, compassion, and spirituality.

The Prophetic Voices featured on our website come from a diversity of faith and spiritual backgrounds. Read about them or hear from them to learn and be inspired.
